There are numerous newcomer families who immigrate to this beautiful country every year. AMYA serves in picking up, dropping them off at their residences, as well as preparing their residences with basic furniture and items. Every week, approximately 6 to 7 hours are spent picking and procuring furniture from different households and charities and setting them up for prospective newcomers. Families are then picked up from the airport and driven to their new homes. Several times, they must be driven to cities and towns as far as 500 km from the airports. So far, this year, over 150 families have been settled in Canada.
