Canadian Muslim Youth Raise 50,000 Pounds of Food

Ahmadiyya Muslim youth conclude hugely successful food drive as harsh weather
grips Toronto

Event: The Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association has raised over 50,000 pounds of food as part of a
charitable initiative to feed those less fortunate as harsh winter weather grips Toronto. The proceeds of
the food drive will be donated to Humanity First Food Bank – which distributes the food to the needy in
the Greater Toronto Area.
The Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association is holding a special appreciation event for those who
participated in the food drive. The event includes a special cheque presentation to Humanity First. Several
dignitaries are expected to attend the event, including government officials from the City of Vaughan, the
President of the Ahmadiyya Muslim Youth Association, Mr. Zubair Afzal, and the Chairman of Humanity
First Canada, Dr. Aslam Daud.
When: Tuesday, February 5, 2019 from 6:30pm to 8pm
Where: Vellore Town Hall – 9541 Weston Road, Vaughan, Ontario
